Okra herbs, Clemson Spineless Okra

The Clemson Spineless Okra
Okra benefites
Okra is a green vegetable, that will grow readily in many climates. Its a long and tapered pod shaped vegetable. When cut open, it will reveal multiple rows of seeds, and a somewhat wet gooey touch to the fingers. Actually a member of the cotton family of plants, Okra was originally found growing in warm climates like North Africa, and the Middle East.

Okra is a plant of many uses. It can often be found in different gumbos and is a wonderful source of vitamin A whether it's canned, fried, steamed, roasted or grilled.

A hardy plant that propagates quite readily, and tastes delicious in either Indian curry or stir frys. Personally, I really like stir frys and curry either separately or in combination. A little stir fry has got to be one of the more interesting foods you can eat. Usually packed with vegetables, and a little of your favorite meat. Course if you lean more towards the vegan side, you can always substitute tofu into the stir fry. It's even healthier, and bound to satisfy the animal lover in you.

But in combination, as an Indian Curry Stir Fry would be my favorite. Our at home menu tends to lean a little towards the bland side, as the kids out number the parents 3 to 2, and they won't touch the spicy stuff. And curry is definitely one of spicier spices. My love for it must be something to do with the Indian nuns I had as teachers and family friends that loved to cook with curry. I spent a year or so consulting in Toronto, with a couple of east Indian friends, and they always knew the best places for lunch. Definitely got my fill of curry, tandori and other Indian spices that year.

Colon Cleansing Benefits - Important Details about Colon Cleansing Benefits by MICHELLE TAFT

The benefits of colon cleansing are becoming more apparent with each passing year. More doctors and health care professionals are beginning to see that colon cleansing benefits are real, documented, and are positively impacting their patients overall health.
The benefits of colon cleansing are wide reaching. Many people who have undergone a colon cleansing report improved bowel function, clearer skin, improved mood, an increase in energy, an improved immune system which results in less frequent illness, and a decrease in tension and headaches.

The colon cleansing benefits described above are achieved by flushing accumulated toxins from the colon. Over time the colon collects debris from the material that passes through it during the digestive process. It cannot expel all of the material that is collected there and this results in the unhealthy build up of waste material.

There are many options to choose from when deciding on which product will offer you the colon cleansing benefits you seek, but be sure to look into the all natural ones first. There is no reason to introduce harsh chemicals into the very system you are trying to cleanse.

Most all natural colon cleansing options will contain an ingredient called psyllium husk. This is derived from a plant that has been proven to cleanse the colon and improve overall digestive health. The psyllium husk is not broken down by the digestive juices in the stomach so when it passes through the colon it acts as a broom sweeping the accumulated debris out in front of it as it passes through the digestive system.

Colon cleansing benefits have been well documented and there have been no risks proven to be associated with colon cleansing. the fact of the matter is that colon cleansing has been common practice in certain parts of the world for centuries and western medicine is just beginning to understand the benefits of regular colon cleansing. Discover more colon cleansing benefits at today.

Treatment Of Different Acne Scars

Dealing with acne can be very painful physically. Having residual scarring from it can be a condition that can cause emotional pain. The effect it can cause may hinder the social life of the individual by keeping them from going out in public.
There are many acne scarring treatments that can help to reduce the look of these scars or remove them completely. Before you decide which treatment is right for you talk to your dermatologist and discuss each one with them. Make sure that you are aware of all the risks.

Dermabrasion was created to specifically treat acne scars. It has the ability to reach the layers deep underneath the skin and is more effective than most other treatments. This procedure even has the ability to treat some of the more deeper scars that are harder to get rid of.

Chemical Peels is better to use on patients with smaller and more depressed scars as well as a few larger ones. Doing one peel may not be enough if you have extensive damage. Many people find that they need repeated treatments of chemical peels in order to fix the scars. Unfortunately it is not effective on ice pick and deep fibrotic scars.

Soft Tissue Augmentation helps to fix atrophic scarring. During this treatment injections of collagen or subcutaneous fat is placed underneath the scars. This helps to raise them up to the surface and make them blend into the skin around the face. You may need this treatment more than once.

Laser Scarring Treatment is much more advanced and newer. There are different lasers that are used to treat different with types of face acne scars. Deep tissue penetration of YAG lasers are used by doctors to “sculpt” scars that are irregular. An laser with an infrared beam is used to help tighten collagen fibers in the skin and to raise scars that are depressed.

Steroid Injections are a treatment that will inject steroids into keloid scars. Usually intralesional injection is mixed together with surgery in order to reduce the size of certain scars in certain patients. Only dermatologist surgeons should use keloid surgeries.

Three Essential Health Tests

Oral Glucose-Tolerance Test
With this test, you'll find out if you're one of the too many men out there with undiagnosed diabetes. Unlike a standard fasting blood-sugar check, the tolerance test stresses your metabolism to see how your body handles a glucose load.

How it's done

After a night of fasting and a morning glucose drink, your blood is drawn several times over three hours. A result higher than 11 mmol/l at the two-hour mark is trouble. Before you turn to drugs, talk to your doctor about overhauling your eating and exercise habits.

C-Reactive Protein (CRP) Test

A high CRP level is a sign of arterial inflammation, your body's ‘Heart Attack Ahead’ billboard. Research published in the New England Journal of Medicine reveals that men with the highest CRP numbers have three times greater odds of infarction than those with low levels.

How it's done

Just offer up your arm. If the result is higher than five milligrams per liter, dish up the fiber: a study in the Archives of Internal Medicine states that consuming 30g of fiber daily can slash your CRP by 40 percent.

Mole Mapping

Australia has the highest skin-cancer rate in the world, so it's a good idea to go for a mole check once a year to catch any developing melanomas (dangerous skin tumors) early. Mole mapping involves taking a digital photo of your skin - while at the same time taking a closer look at any moles that look suspicious - and plotting the location of any moles on a computer. Then, when you return a year later, a second mole map will reveal any new growths - which are the ones to really worry about. If you have 50 moles on your back there's no way you're going to know if you suddenly have 51. Current technology allows us to assess the state of the skin without having to do unnecessary biopsies.

How it's done.

Most general practitioners don't have the equipment, so you'll need a dermatologist. As for the actual photo shoot, all you have to do is strip.
