English lavender,Lavandula Angustifolia

Lavandula angustifolia (Lavandula spica or Lavandula vera; common lavender, true lavender, or English lavender (though not native to England)) is a flowering plant in the family Lamiaceae, native to the western Mediterranean region, primarily in the Pyrenees and other mountains in northern Spain.
It is a strongly aromatic shrub growing to 1–2 m tall. The leaves are evergreen, 2–6 cm long and 4–6 mm broad. The flowers are pinkish-purple (lavender-coloured), produced on spikes 2–8 cm long at the top of slender, leafless stems 10–30 cm long.
The species name angustifolia is Latin for "narrow leaf".
Cultivation
English lavender is commonly grown as an ornamental plant. It is popular for its colourful flowers, its fragrance and its ability to survive with low water consumption. It does not grow well in continuously damp soil. It is fairly tolerant of low temperatures, generally considered hardy to USDA zone 5
Use
In addition to its use as an ornamental plant, the flowers and leaves are also used as an herbal medicine, either in the form of lavender oil or as an herbal tea. The flowers are also used as a culinary herb, most often as part of the French herb blend called herbes de Provence.
Lavender essential oil, when diluted with a carrier oil, is commonly used as a relaxant with massage therapy. Products for home use including lotions, eye pillows—including lavender flowers or the essential oil itself—bath oils, etc. are also used to induce relaxation.

Herbals cures to combat fatigue
Coffee is the strongest natural form of caffeine. However, coffee is addictive and drinking more than three cups a day could lead to problems such as jangled nerves and diarrhea.
Other sources of caffeine include colas, tea, cocoa, and South-American beverages such as yerba mate. Although tea has comparatively lesser caffeine, it contains more of Theophylline, which in its pure form, is used to treat Asthma. Like caffeine, it causes nervousness, insomnia and increased heart rate.
However, in cases of stress-induced fatigue, which could lead to loss of sleep at night an exhaustion during the day, folk practitioners prescribe variety of herbal relaxants, including valerian and lavender.
Black Tea: A cup of black tea contains about 30mg of caffeine. About two doses (60mg) of this tea act as a stimulant increasing activity of central nervous system. The tea can be prepared by pouring a cup of boiling water over one and a half teaspoon of black tea leaves. Allow it to steep for five minutes. Strain and drink.
Valerian: It is a sleeping aid which has been in use for more than 2000 years now, and has been helpful in treating stress-induced fatigue. Pour one cup of boiling water to ½ to 1 teaspoon of minced fresh roots, or mix a few drops of valerian extract or tincture into a glass of warm water. This makes a good bedtime tea. However, it is not advisable to be used for longer than two weeks.
Lavender: The herb has been well-known as a calmative. The dried flowers or an extract of the herb can be added to warm bath water, just prior to bed time. The oil too can be dabbed on to the temples before bedtime.

Herbals: Scabies Remedies and Treatment
find use herbals for health
Scabies is a contagious skin disease caused by a mite called Sarcoptes scabeii. A skin condition caused by tiny mites that burrow under the skin, producing small red bumps and severe itching. The mites easily spread from person to person, especially among people who share close living spaces. The treatment is usually with a topical cream or shampoo. In Australia the treatment is changed on a yearly basis to counteract development of resistance.
With first time infections it generally takes 4-6 weeks for symptoms to appear. For those who have had previous infections, the symptoms can appear within days. Scabies is a contagious disease which is spread via towels, linen, clothing and poor hygeine so it extremely important to practice good hygeine at all times to prevent cross infection. Washing all clothing, towels etc on hot wash will help to kill off any bacterium present and prevent it from recurring. Do not be tempted to share towels or bed linen with anyone you suspect of having Scabies as this could only re-infect you again.
Diagnosis is most commonly made by looking at the burrows or rash. A skin scraping may be taken to look for mites, eggs, or mite fecal matter to confirm the diagnosis. If a skin scraping or biopsy is taken and returns negative, it is possible that you may still be infested. Typically, there are fewer than 10 mites on the entire body of an infested person; this makes it easy for an infestation to be missed.
The treatment kills the mites, but their bodies are still in the skin and as it is this that we are allergic to, the itch persists until our own natural defense systems break down and get rid of what is left of the mites. This process takes about two weeks and therefore the itch continues for about two weeks after the treatment.
You need close skin-to-skin contact with an infected person to catch scabies. The mites live in skin but die after a short time if they are away from the skin.
Most cases are probably caught from holding hands with an infected person. The hand is the most common site to be first affected. Sleeping in the same bed, and sexual contact are other common ways of passing on the mite.
Sometimes outbreaks of scabies occur in nurseries or residential homes where people are in close contact. Head remedy; itching with burning or soreness after scratching Sulphur 3X or 6X, 4 hourly. Pustular eruptions; specially on bends of elbows; itching worse from heat and at night Sulphur 30X and Mercurius Sol.30X, 4 hourly (alternatively). With soreness in folds of skin; involuntary urination while coughing or walking; better in humid climate Causticum 30X or 200X 4 hourly. Eruptions on bends of knees; pustular with burning and itching; better by warmth Arsenic Alb.30X or 200X, 4 hourly (3 Doses)
First you need to get an acurate diagnosis and then get some prescription medicine to take of whatever is going on.
Get lice shampoo and put it on your body before going to bed and then wash it off the next morning. You man need to do this a few nights but it works. Anyone who is diagnosed with scabies, as well as his or her sexual partners and persons who have close, prolonged contact to the infested person should also be treated. If your health care provider has instructed family members to be treated, everyone should receive treatment at the same time to prevent reinfestation.

Warning! Herbal Colon Cleansers May be Harmful!
The Dangerous Truth about Herbal Colon Cleansers
Health-conscious consumers are more than willing to spend valuable time and money on natural means of maintaining their health; and many of these consumers subscribe to the philosophy that good health begins in the bowels.
As a result, the natural health supplement industry has recently been flooded with numerous infomercials on natural health, herbal colon cleansers, and detoxifiers. These products may be natural, but are they really effective? More importantly, does buying "natural" necessarily mean buying safe?
According to the National Library of Medicine, the National Institutes of Health, and similar organizations, many herbal colon cleansers could be more than just ineffective. They could be putting consumer health at serious risk.
While there are a handful of safe herbal colon cleansers on the market, most manufacturers choose to include cheap and potentially dangerous ingredients in their formulations. Popular herbal ingredients to be especially weary of include Psyllium, Cascara Sagrada, and Senna.
A host of other potentially dangerous herbal combinations make their way into these cleansers as well, so be sure to research each individual ingredient in any product before eating or drinking it.
A better option would be to choose a non-herbal cleansing product with a well-documented safety record. In addition to being more effective than herbal cleansers, an oxygen-based cleanser like Oxy-Powder® is much gentler on the digestive tract and offers virtually no risk whatsoever to your health.
There's a special reason for such a safety record. Oxy-Powder® doesn't force you to have a bowel movement like chemical laxatives, drug-based enemas, and herbal colon cleansers. These products either irritate the intestinal tract to induce a bowel movement or they basically create a condition similar to incontinence so everything just comes out whether you're ready or not. Oxy-Powder® on the other hand just helps your colon perform its normal functions of food assimilation and waste disposal.
You see, your colon can become quite clogged from years of eating bad foods (fatty meats, sweets, starchy side dishes, etc.) and the only way you can effectively cleanse the accumulated waste matter from your bowels is with the aid of a quality colon cleansing product. We'll reveal how an oxygen-based colon cleanser can help you later. For now, let's learn more about the harmful herbal colon cleansers' ingredients.
Psyllium
Psyllium is one of the most common ingredients in herbal colon cleansers and especially in over-the-counter "fiber" laxatives. Numerous reports exist concerning serious allergic reactions following the ingestion of Psyllium products. These reactions include labored breathing, skin irritations or hives, and potentially life-threatening anaphylaxis (constriction of the esophagus leading to choking). Long-term use of products containing Psyllium may also negatively affect absorption of essential vitamins and minerals such as iron.
Perhaps most ironically, obstruction of the gastrointestinal tract has also been regularly cited in studies of patients taking Psyllium products. These studies seem to suggest this side effect is especially common in individuals prone to suffering constipation.
An oxygen producing cleanser like Oxy-Powder®, on the other hand, actually converts solid waste into a gas or liquid which makes it impossible for an intestinal blockage to occur. In addition to organic Germanium-132 and natural Citric Acid, Oxy-Powder® also contains a specially ozonated compound of Magnesium oxides. This key ingredient is like a bonus because it permits you to restore a small amount of the mineral lost from taking a Psyllium or Senna-based herbal colon cleansers.
Oxy-Powder® helps to remove these types of obstructions by liquefying accumulated waste and other organic debris. This effect should not be confused with diarrhea which is caused by viral infection of the bowels. The best part--once your intestines become unrestricted of that awful constipation, they can begin to function as they should with the end result being improvement to your processes of digestion and elimination.
It's difficult to comprehend why any intelligent person would purchase any herbal colon cleansers with a tendency to actually cause bowel obstruction (otherwise known as constipation) rather than a safe, proven formula like Oxy-Powder® that works to clear away hardened and putrefying fecal matter.
Cascara Sagrada
The name Cascara sagrada is used generically to describe the aged bark of several species of Buckthorn shrub. It's used as the principal component of many herbal colon cleansers.
Some supplement marketers attempt to sneak Cascara under the smart consumer's radar by disguising it as part of a "proprietary blend" or by listing it by its lesser-known name "buckthorn bark." These same companies will sometimes slap on fine-print disclaimers about their products containing this dangerous ingredient, presumably to protect themselves against potential lawsuits. It's unfortunate they're not so willing to protect the health of the people taking their shoddy product.
In 2002, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration banned Cascara and its derivatives from use in non-prescription laxatives due to lack of supportive evidence they were either safe or effective. The FDA however failed to protect consumers from manufacturers who include Cascara in "dietary supplements" under which heading herbal colon cleansers invariably fall.
Oxygen cleansers like Oxy-Powder® are made from minerals instead of plant byproducts so it offers a significantly diminished risk for contamination. You see, plants absorb nutrients from the surrounding environment so if pollution or chemicals are present the herbs can become tainted as well. However, due to modern processing methods and technology, minerals can be easily isolated so you obtain only the pure extract. Furthermore, Oxy-Powder® provides a more predictable effect on the body than herbal colon cleansers made with Cascara or other herbs because, with Oxy-Powder®, you engage in no risk of allergic reaction.
Each person's internal chemistry can react quite differently to various substances and therein lays one of chief dangers of herbal colon cleansers. For example, some people are lactose intolerant and don't even realize it, so every time they think they're enjoying a tall glass of cold milk they are actually irritating their digestive system and possibly contributing to their constipation.
Oxy-Powder® helps the body detoxify by cleansing out toxin-laden waste plus the intestinal mucous that develops as a defensive measure against harmful foods and other material. So, if you err in trying herbal colon cleansers and you're experiencing harsh side effects, Oxy-Powder® can help you restore intestinal balance by eliminating waste and trace herbal residue.
Senna
Senna is produced from a tropical flowering plant and is a popular ingredient in "diet" or "cleansing" teas as well as many body cleansing supplements. Senna has also been the subject of numerous consumer complaints stretching as far back as 1987.
Between 1992 and 1994, there were at least four recorded deaths of otherwise healthy young females who reportedly used senna-containing teas for extended periods. However, further investigation in these cases was unable to yield sufficient evidence to ban the substance altogether. Regrettably, at least for the time being, this dangerous herbal substance is still readily available in many herbal teas, laxatives, herbal colon cleansers, and a variety of dietary supplements.
By the way, both Cascara and Senna are forms of Anthraquinones-naturally occurring compounds found primarily in plants and certain insects. In addition to their use in low-quality colon cleansers, Anthraquinones have historically been used in the commercial manufacturing of dyes and pigments for the garment industry.
Anthraquinones basically irritate intestinal bacteria to cause bowel contractions. According to the National Institutes of Health, common side effects of Anthraquinone-based stimulant laxatives include brownish urine, severe abdominal cramping, diarrhea, and vomiting. This class of laxatives also has a tendency to strip away good intestinal bacteria which normally assist the body's digestive process.
By contrast, Oxy-Powder® will not impair beneficial bacteria but, at the same time, it helps create an environment unwelcoming to harmful flora so they cannot overpopulate and cause sickness. If the balance of flora in the digestive system is optimal, you can enjoy efficient digestion, increased absorption of vital nutrients, and less chance for a variety of intestinal diseases to develop in the future.
If abused, Anthraquinones can also cause electrolyte imbalances and potassium loss, and because electrolytes play an essential role in creating nerve impulses to facilitate proper muscle function, unbalanced potassium levels can trigger irregular heartbeat and other potentially life-threatening conditions. Oxy-Powder® provides no such side effects--it performs exactly as it should, no more and no less. Oxy-Powder® does not actually induce a bowel movement but merely breaks down old fecal matter so your body can clear it out and begin the healing process. Thereafter, improved biological functions can occur as a matter of course.
Warning Signs for Herbal Colon Cleansers
The majority of herbs used in these products are sourced from foreign sources such as companies in China or India. To generate a profit, these companies are typically using very low-grade herbal powders or solvent extracted herbal derivatives which may be contaminated with a host of heavy metals, pesticides, insecticides, and other toxins.
Furthermore, many of these manufactures utilize the entire plant under the false assumption they can increase profit by not wasting anything. For many herbs however, only specific parts of the plants contain the desired substance in the correct chemical structure or potency. In most cases, herbs also receive radiation before being shipped internationally to reduce the presence of germs, but this practice also tends to greatly reduce their effectiveness. With many of these herbal colon cleansers, you're basically paying a lot of money for a canister of mostly inert or "dead" mixtures.
Make sure you ask any company from which you purchase herbal colon cleansers if they can provide documentation regarding the source of their herbs and a certificate asserting their product is free of herbicides, insecticides, pesticides, heavy metals, and fumigants and also contains non-irradiated ingredients. Also, try to make sure the product is packaged in pure vegetable capsules instead of capsules manufactured with toxic glues and binders or gelatin capsules comprised of animal-processing byproducts and artificial preservatives.
To compare, Oxy-Powder® is encapsulated in vegetable capsules that are gelatin-free, safe, and all natural. Vegetable capsules offer no side effects, are free of preservatives and other chemicals, and promote the organic lifestyle because no animal nor is the environment harmed in their manufacture. Oxy-Powder®'s capsules are vegetarian safe so you can take them knowing they are made with a variety of cultural and religious beliefs in mind. Plus, the cellulosic material utilized in their construction ensures your body can quickly digest the ingredients (namely the Oxy-Powder®) so they can get to work quickly.
Finally, it's a good idea to avoid herbal colon cleansers containing questionable or hard-to-digest non-nutritive substances such as:
Magnesium stearate
Silicon dioxide (common sand)
Food glaze
Methylcellulose
Carnauba wax
Apple pectin
Binders or fillers
Ideally, all of the ingredients utilized in a natural colon cleanser should be organically certified, wildcrafted, or at the very least, free of all harmful contaminates.
Summary - A Better, Safer Option
While the facts surrounding herbal colon cleansers may seem disheartening to consumers seeking natural options for maintaining their health, safe alternatives do exist. Unlike herbal or other over-the-counter laxatives, oxygen-based cleansers thoroughly cleanse the walls of the colon and intestines without bringing dangerous or unpleasant side effects.
Several reputable options for oxygen cleansing are available, but Oxy-Powder® is widely considered to be the best. Oxy-Powder® works by releasing nascent oxygen (created by the Germanium-132) into the bowel using a Magnesium oxide carrier. Simply put, specialized oxygen molecules are locked in place by being bonded to specific forms of magnesium. The Citric Acid, in conjunction with gastric juices, breaks apart these bonds and thus allows the oxygen to escape into the intestines where it gently dissolves impacted waste.
Oxy-Powder® has several other notable advantages over herbal colon cleansers. Besides fully utilizing modern technology in its manufacturing and development, the makers of Oxy-Powder® also provide you with a stronger formula as measured in our Analysis of Oxy-Powder® vs. Competitors' Products. And remember those convenient vegetarian capsules we just described? Many herbal colon cleansers are sold as a loose powder that must be mixed with water, or worse, with some other ingredient you have to purchase.
Oxy-Powder® provides an array of positive health benefits. Oxy-Powder® helps to gently cleanse, flush, and detoxify your colon without the dangerous of embarrassing side effects of laxatives and herbal colon cleansers!
To summarize, Oxy-Powder® . . .
Helps restore bowel regularity
Cleanses, refreshes, and detoxifies
Eliminates fecal buildup clogging your colon
Promotes renewed vitality and general health
Supports a healthy immune and digestive systems
Assists in maximum absorption of vital nutrients
Aids in efficient, easy bowel movements
Compared to the harsh side effects and potential for danger inherent to using the herbal colon cleansers described above, wouldn't you rather use a product offering safe, effective results? It must be noted--this information is not intended to dissuade consumers from using natural herbal-based health products. In most cases, natural supplements are still a great and preferred alternative to synthetic drugs.
Let's face it--herbs are about as natural as you can get. But many herbs and herbal colon cleansers can be just as potent (and potentially dangerous) as pharmaceuticals. So please, do yourself and your body a favor and thoroughly research any colon cleansing product before trying it to relieve constipation symptoms or to improve overall health. Then find an organic colon cleansing product that works and won't bring more harm than good. Do what's best for your body so you can enjoy the benefits of restoring or achieving optimal health!

The History of Chinese herbals
The oldest medical book that mentions herbs is the Huang Di Nei Jing - The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine. Differing opinions date the book between 800 BC and 200 BC. It’s a compendium of medical theory and practice attributed to the Yellow Emperor who is thought to have lived c.4700 BC or to be a mythical character whose age and royal status would provide credence to a contemporary work.
The period during which the Nei Jing appeared was one of great creativity and change. By 265 BC (when some scholars believe the Nei Jing was published) the transition from a shamanistic medicine to one based on theory and an accumulated body of knowledge was almost complete. Although the Nei Jing was supposed to have been written 2500 years prior it almost exclusively discusses the medicine of theory and accumulated knowledge. So the 28 substances and 12 prescriptions listed in the Nei Jing are the first mention of the Chinese herbal medicine which continues to be practiced now.
By 220 AD national and provincial government medical services were established. Professional specialties included prescribing physicians, senior physicians, junior physicians, apprentices and pharmacists. During the Chin Dynasty (265 AD - 420 AD) the Imperial University was established and medicine was part of the curriculum.
About 500 AD The Divine Husbandman’s Classic of the Materia Medica was published. This text contained the first references to “properties” of herbs and the first classification system for herbs other than the Five Element tastes. There were three major categories.
-Superior herbs - those which nourish life
-Middle Herbs - those which correct constitution
-Inferior herbs - those which expel disease
The Divine Husbandman’s Classic also sorted herbs by taste and temperature and it warned of toxic herbs. The catalog of substances contained plants, animals and minerals.
In 659 AD The Newly Revised Materia Medica, the first illustrated text of herbs, containing 844 entries, was published. 1108 AD saw the appearance of the Materia Medica Arranged According to Pattern which had 1558 entries. 1596 AD brought The Grand Materia Medica with 1892 entries. By 1977 5,767 entries were listed in the Encyclopedia of Traditional Chinese Medicinal Substances.
The period from 659 to the 1700’s saw the birth and evolution of several important components of herbal medicine theory. These components have continued in use to this day and are presented in the section Theory of Herbal Medicine.

Making Iced Tea - It's All About Time and Temperature
The pleasure of drinking gourmet iced tea is enhanced when you match the correct water temperature and the right length of steeping time with the finest tea.
For ordinary supermarket brands of teabag tea or even loose leaf tea, hot to almost boiling will work fine for tea strong enough for iced tea. Simply use two bags or two teaspoons of tea for eight ounces of water, allow it to steep three to five minutes, then decant the leaves (or remove the teabags.) Allow the tea to cool before refrigerating, covered, until ready to use.
Make extra tea each time you make iced tea and pour the extra amount in ice cube trays. This is very helpful in chilling the tea without diluting it as iced water cubes can do. Fruit juices like lemon or orange are delicious in iced teas. If you want to pretty up the cubes, place one or two fresh berries like raspberries, blackberries, blueberries or a de-stemmed strawberry in each cube. Slices of stone fruit like nectarines or peaches are great, too. Mint leaves are delightful to add to the cubes or to garnish a tall glass of your favorite iced tea.
For gourmet level teas, which offer infinitely more complex flavor and more variety, the same steps are taken but with two important changes. Temperature must be adjusted to the type of tea, and steeping time differs for each type: whites, greens, oolongs, blacks, or herbals.
Whites and greens are very delicate in taste and overly hot water can literally scorch them rendering them bitter. Use under boiling water for whites and greens, about 180 to 190°F and steep up to three minutes.
Oolongs can withstand hotter water, from 190 to 195°F for three minutes for light, greenish oolongs and up to seven minutes for darker oolongs.
Black teas can withstand temperatures from 205 to 212°F for three to five minutes.
Herbals can easily be infused with boiling water, 212°F for three to five minutes without any bitterness.
For gourmet teas from Zarafina temperature is critical, especially for high quality, outstanding gourmet teas. Even a few degrees of too hot a temperature or a minute too long in stepping time will render the tea bitter. Conversely, under steeping can make the tea tastes weak and flavorless. Too low a temperature is not a problem, but longer steeping times elicit both fragrance and flavor.
To take the guesswork out of steeping your tea, consider an automatic system that does all the thinking for you. You can literally set the temperature and time by indicating the type of tea (white, green, oolong, black or herbal) and indicate the tea strength. The machine will steep your tea according to your directions; need to watch a clock. No thinking, just pleasurable tea drinking.
The Zarafina Hot Tea Maker Suite is an automatic tea making system that automatically adjusts the water temperature, steeping time, and tea strength for both loose leaf tea or tea bags. The Tea Maker Suite includes a 16-ounce ceramic teapot, two 8-ounce mugs, and a serving tray. To make iced tea with the Tea Maker, steep as usual, allow the tea to cool slightly, add ice, and serve. Avoid watering down your tea by adding ice cubes made of tea or juice.
SUMMARY: The pleasure of drinking gourmet iced tea is enhanced when you match the correct water temperature and appropriate steeping time with the right tea. Whites and greens require under boiling water, from 180 to 190°F; oolongs need hotter water, from 190 to 195°F; blacks need from 205 to 212°F, and herbals can be infused with boiling water, 212°F To take the guesswork out of determining the right water temperature and steeping time, consider an automatic system that does all the thinking for you and, best of all, results in a fabulous pot of tea served hot or cooled for iced tea pleasure. Consider the Zarafina Tea Maker Suite has an adjustable tea strength setting from mild to strong, steeps both loose leaf and bagged tea, and temperature and steeping time are adjustable.
Zarafina means heavenly, like a special friend who greets you with kindness and warmth, and a cup of the world’s finest teas: White Needle, Green Anji, Wuyi Oolong Rock, Golden Monkey, and Osmanthus, a caffeine-free herbal. Each of our teas is the finest example of its category: white, green, oolong, black, and herbal.
Steeping these fine gourmet teas deserves attention to water temperature and time and we make this as simple as pressing a button with the Zarafina Hot Tea Maker Suite It steeps whites and greens with cooler water, oolongs, blacks and herbals with hotter water, automatically and takes either loose leaves or teabags. And, it can adjust the strength of your tea in the cup from mild to strong. The result is 16 ounces of pure nectar, tea the way the gods meant it to taste.

The Herbals Prevent Suicidal Tendency Syndrome .
Within the normal spectrum of human emotion is the depression which is prompted or instigated by various sources and grounds. Several decades ago, it has been included by leading psychologists in their theories of human dysfunctions that need proper attention, while mapping out its difference, symptoms and pervasiveness in certain groups of individuals.
Simple sadness may turn to a full blown depression if not duly acted upon in the early stage, resulting to the weakening of the bodily organs or functions and even to the patient’s acquiring suicidal tendency. Depression can lead to the failure of the brain from modifying temper, enthusiasm or passion and behavior from operating properly.
Most of depressions emanate from an ordinary anxiety and stress brought about by the environment where the person affected is living in. Medical experts have advised people with symptoms of depression syndromes to see a physician for medication or preventive treatment. Moreover there are some herbals that can help provide cure or prevention without compromising the patient’s safeguard from acquiring side effects.
For obvious reasons, people never want to looe their jobs and their appetite for doing what they customarily do before suffering from anxiety, stress, and depression. Most people inherently want to live a healthy and jovial life without much incurring difficulty in dealing with their body organs, self-destructing behavior, and frustrations. They necessarily hope to gain absolute control of themselves over ill feelings and disorders.
This kind of disorder is technically difficult to dispense with; however trying herbals to restore back one’s healthy living is not much to ask from oneself. Herbals particularly those approved by the government’s health department can be more effective than some chemically made medicines that require physician’s prescription before they can be taken internally by an ailing person. Herbal supplements are mostly natural and not prescription anti depressants. They might boost brain’s generation of Alpha waves that are designed to relax physical and mental condition. Some prescribed antidepressants normally create problematic side effects even if the dosage intake is done according to physician’s recommendation. This sometimes leads to even more distressing situation of bearing the after-effect of the prescription medicines.
Herbal medicine is among the safe means to treat or make well a person in the past centuries during the early civilizations. The evolution of curing or treating certain maladies using herbal medicines is dated back from the origin of men. Indigenous people of China, the place recorded as having the oldest civilization, began using herbs or plants for medication and therapy. The old medical practice of Chinese medicine included the first explanations of the pathological concept, diagnostic method, and treatment strategy. The terms doctor or “yi” in Chinese and medicine or “yao” first appeared in written Chinese language dated 2500 BC. Other medical inscriptions bearing proof of herbal use, many centuries ago, had also been found in Egypt and Greece. The process was just passed on to the new generation who had adopted the advance formulation of herbals using the advance technology of time.
Seeing the advantage of natural herbs fully integrated with the formula of technology, people are again adopting the natural way of healing by using supplements extracted from herbs.

Why It's Better For Women to Use Herbal Medicine
Maybe even Mother Mary herself once benefited from the healing powers of herbal medicine. And was she born even way back than 5,000 years?
A Little Something about Herbal Medicine First
Before we should address the issue of possible benefits that women can enjoy from the use of herbal medicine, wouldn’t it be proper to know a little something about the history of herbal medicine first?
The Wonders of Herbal Medicine
It’s Cheap – Money matters always so taking herbal medicine is not only better for the body, it’s better for the pockets too!
It’s Easy to Make – That’s right. You can make your own herbal medicine. Just follow the formula the way you would with a kitchen recipe.
It’s All Natural – And of course, all-natural is better than man-made more often than not. Because of that, there are fewer reasons to worry about symptoms and side effects. If you’re the one making the herbal medicine yourself, do make sure that you’re using clean utensils (clean hands also, please!) and the right herbs.
A Little Warning about Herbal Medicine We can all agree that herbal medicine is truly helpful to the human race. But herbal medicine can also become a danger – but blame the humans (that’s us) for that as well.
You have to take the necessary precautions to ensure that herbal medicine will be completely beneficial to your body.
First, if you’re going to buy herbal medicine rather than making one for yourself, it’s essential that you buy herbal medicine that’s produced by a reputable company and buy it from a reputable retailer or seller as well. There are a lot of fake herbal medicine out in the market so just to be safe than sorry, do choose one that has proven to be effective.
Secondly, do be aware that it’s very much possible to overdose on herbal medicine. And when that happens, it means that you took more than advised. Hence, do consult your doctor first about the appropriate dosage and even if you feel that it wouldn’t harm you to increase the dosage, let’s just stick to the safe side once more and follow what the good doctor says.
Lastly, it’s imperative that you inform your doctor if you’re already taking other medications because it could react negatively when you start taking herbal medicine as well.
